The SLaTeX package can also be used with Plain TeX. Call
slatex on the .tex file just as before.
(SLaTeX is clever enough to figure out whether the file it
operates on should later be sent to LaTeX or TeX.)
A couple of remarks on how the .tex file should look
– based on the differences in TeX and LaTeX:
- Since TeX doesn't have a
\documentstyle command, you have to have an
\input slatex.sty command in your .tex file.
- Since TeX doesn't support LaTeX-style environments,
use the pair
\schemedisplay and
\endschemedisplay instead of
\begin/\end{schemedisplay}; the pair
schemebox and \endschemebox instead of
\begin/\end{schemebox}; and the pair
schemeregion and \endschemeregion instead of
\begin/\end{schemeregion}. Note: Do not use
the environment style in TeX or the TeX-style in LaTeX.
